Samsung is extending environment-friendly packaging to encourage people to upcycle the TV boxes for ‘creative reuse.

We spend so much time and money picking out the perfect toy and bedding for our cat, but it is hurtful to see them running back again to their cardboard box in the corner of the house.

We take out a good amount from our salary to get the fancy things, only for them to grunt at it and go back to their old flatbed.

Samsung has recognized this obsession of cats with boxes and come up with a new idea. They are coming up with boxes that are a win for the owners, environment, and animals alike.

The new packaging has been introduced at every Samsung Lifestyle TV products in order to reduce the carbon footprint. These are manufactured using environment-friendly corrugated cardboard. While the boxes cannot be easily recycled, it can be put to better use by upcycling.

Samsung, in a post, said that the companies integrated a new dot-matrix design on either side of the cardboard boxes.

This will allow customers to cut the boxes more easily and shape them in various ways. They can shape them into a house or table for their pets.

People who own the Serif can put the packaging to good use. Along with building a cat house, they can also build shelves and magazine racks using the cardboard boxes.

Moreover, these can be used to build little boxes to store household items.

Samsung’s Executive Vice President and Head of Product Strategy team of Visual Display business, Kangwook Chun, said that the consumers generally purchase from brands that share similar values and fundamentals as they do.

And the eco-friendly packaging by the company is aimed at providing a new and valuable experience to the customers.
