An animal sanctuary like no other offers people not only to visit and explore their reserve but also to take a walk and play with their friendly rescue wolves.
The Predators of the Heart Sanctuary is an Anacortes, Washington-based, refuge for animals that were rescued and given a place to call home after they were left with nowhere to live.
Among other animal species, the sanctuary is home to majestic wolves, whereas the staff offer those above 18 years old to encounter the friendly beasts.
A 2-hour ‘wolf encounter’ experience costs $200 per head and can be reserved exclusively via Airbnb according to the Heart Sanctuary.
“Our 10 acres wildlife preserve is located in the towering old-growth forest lands of Fidalgo Island. Our wolves share the compound with cougars, bobcats, lynx, hawks, owls, vultures, skunks, opossums, foxes, and a variety of exotic reptiles,” the sanctuary wrote on their website.
“We are dedicated to helping all species of exotic animals who, for various reasons, find themselves without a place to live out their lives.
“Many of our tenants are victims of divorce, foreclosure, financial hardship or were purchased by people who were ill-prepared for the specialized care that most of these animals require. We are an animal rescue and preservation establishment.”
According to the people who have visited the wolves, the mighty beasts are incredibly friendly and used to interactions with humans.
As the sanctuary has explained, the wolves only wear collars during their encounters with visitors.
