One little boy received a special gift from local sanitation worker whom he greets every day.
The City of Jenks shared a picture of a young boy with Aaron Mitchell, an employee with American Waste Control holding the gift.
The boy name whose name has not been revealed was happy to get a toy recycle truck and the officials said he often interacts with Mitchell along his route.
Mitchell gave him the toy truck in a Mickey Mouse gift bag. The boy and workers have become friends and he brings them water and snacks during their route, CBS affiliate WNCN reports.
The City of Jenks wrote on Facebook: ”This young Jenks resident received a special surprise from an American Waste Control helper, Aaron Mitchell.”
”Mr. Mitchell would regularly see and interact with this young boy along his route. The child would be outside to greet the trashmen and trash truck regularly, whether it was 30 degrees or 100 degrees. As a result, the crew on the back of the truck became friends with him and his family.”
”Yesterday, Mr. Mitchell delivered a brand new toy recycle truck to our young Jenks resident. It was given to him in a Mickey Mouse gift bag with tissue paper and a smile. This was done by Mr. Mitchell’s own generosity.”
”Thank you Mr. Mitchell, and the whole crew from American Waste Control, for making this little boy’s day and keeping our community clean!”
One commented: “I didn’t know his name, but he really is super sweet! Always waving to kids when they see him,”
“I don’t know if he knows, but that small gesture means a lot to some little ones!”
“The guys are the best, always waving and giving my boys a little honk,” said another.
“What a wonderful man Mr Mitchell is. We are lucky to have him in our community,” another praised.
