European Space Agency has just revealed after and before pictures of Italy and the pollution has lowered down drastically.
As the people of the country are forced to stay quarantine after the breakout of Covid-19, the pollution has lowered down in the country.
As people are forced to self isolate themselves, the pollution level has seen a major difference.
The pictures take from the satellite shows clearly.
The animated pictures that have been composed on the basis of information retrieved by the Copernicus Sentinel-5P satellite show a major change.
The pictures in question show Italy on the 1st of January and the 11th of March.
They show how pollution has gone down from the top of the country when looked from space.
The nitrogen dioxide levels have gone down specifically.
In a press release held to announce the same, it was mentioned that the most effective can be seen in northern Italy.
This is bizarre considering the lockdown that has covered the entire nation.
Announced by Claus Zehner, mission manager of Copernicus Sentinel-5P, “It was evident to find pollution levels fallen down especially over Po Valley in Northern Italy.
While there is no confirmation yet, we are extremely sure it happened because of the locked-down being practiced in the entire country right now.
This happened because of almost activity in traffic and reduced emissions from factories.”
Following China, Ital is officially the second-worst affected country in the world. Almost 25,000 people have tested positive with Covid-19 by now.
And sadly, more than 1,400 have died already in the country alone. The death toll around the word is said to be 5,833.
Every single day, several cases are coming out from around the world.
The work is under the process of creating the very first vaccination for the same.
But even if it comes out, it will only be available to people after the 1st of April.
