Parents are getting more and more creative to engage their kids in home amid coronavirus lockdown.
Recently, a talented couple turned a simple tent into a sandpit and shared the idea with people on Facebook so that the hack could be used by others.
What made the concept functional was the fact that the tents were rainproof and were capable of protecting the person inside from the sun too.
The project isn’t much costly as you just have to buy some packets of play sand and a tent of a size that is suitable for the number of children you have.
After assembling the tent, you have to spread play sand in it so that the little members of your house can enjoy playing with balls or toys.
The DIY hack gained appreciation from other parents as well, whose children love to play in sandpits.
The creation is no doubt extremely useful, however, you have to take care of a few things. Make sure that you close the zip of the tent whenever it is not being used by the kids.
The need to do this is even more if you have pets in your home as your dogs and cats could consider the sandpit as lavatory and can go inside when no one is around.
The handy parenting trick was shared on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group where it received over 7,000 likes and a lot of comments.
The viewers said that the sandpit was a brilliant idea to keep children busy and entertained during the lockdown.
A Facebook user commented: “This is such an amazing idea. I have a spare pop up tent.”
Another added: “Bl**dy good idea.”
Someone wrote: “I like that its really clever.”
Yet another said: “Genius idea, going to for this for my child with special needs.”
