A school has been under fire ever since upset parents branded it ‘snowflakey’ for banning kids from playing tag because the game is allegedly ‘too rough’ for kids.

While most of us have always enjoyed running around and playing tag with our friends when we were young, the children at Rudyard Kipling Primary School & Nursery in Brighton, UK, have just been banned from experiencing the popular game on the school grounds.

According to the staff at the institution, the game is not only “too rough” for kids but also risky because it may result in serious injuries.

After hundreds of parents complained about the “ridiculous” decision of the school, the matter was brought to ITV’s Good Morning Britain where mum Amy Nickell defended the ban on playing tag.

“Wait a minute, who’s the winner in Tag? Tag’s not about winning or losing, it’s literally about one-upmanship,” Amy said after explaining how her son got injured during the game.

Confronting the mother was Jo Hemmings, a behavioral specialist, who claimed that “you have to have a certain amount of danger in games” in order for kids to learn how to handle similar situations when they enter adulthood.

Lashing out at the mother and the school’s decision was also presenter Piers Morgan who didn’t hold back with his point of view.

“I think the audience is watching at home thinking, ‘What is going on? Why are we even having these conversations?’” he said.

“We are creating a generation so snowflakey they won’t even be able to leave their houses when they leave school.

“We have protected them so ridiculously they are totally ill-prepared for the real world – which, by the way, isn’t all about everybody wins and everybody’s nice. The real world is tough. You’ve got to be tough to deal with it.”
