Well, you already know the condition in Australia is devastating.
Keeping this in mind, a school has been converted into a makeshift rescue centre. It is now the rescue centre for koalas. These koalas were caught in bushfires.
It is necessary for everyone to help in Australia as more than a million animals died in wildfires. Australia has completely changed in the past few months.
There are a few volunteers in Australia who have been working day and night. They have been caring for the burnt koalas as much as possible. Most of the koalas were found dehydrated in Adelaide Hills fire.
Volunteers have been working round the clock to help the animals. There are around 150 volunteers who have been supported by 80 trained veterinarians. They have erected ample of tents to save the animals.
These volunteers have been working hard to set up different sections like the care unit, burnt unit, baby section, etc to save time. They have also provided some trees both inside and outside for animals to keep climbing.
People in Australia are being the real superheroes of the animals. They are travelling long distances to get the animals in a safe place.
Recently, two cousins travelled all the way to Kangaroo Island to get the koalas in the car and get them at a safe place to care. It was seen that almost half of the kangaroo island has been damaged.
It is so disheartening to know the fact that over 20,000 koalas have already died. However, the cousins made a pact to save as many koalas as possible. They decided to keep the koalas with them until and unless the get better.
They made sure that animals should not have burn spots and act actively. They expect the animals to respond quickly and act mature in order to leave them.
We just hope things settle down with time and the koalas recover completely.
