Reddit user Slathbog shared how he accidentally made a scrape on someone’s tail light, and over 68,000 people upvoted his story. It just proves that karma works in mysterious ways and good deeds are always rewarded a hundredfold.
Slathbog shared on Reddit: “I made a 1-inch scrape on a stranger’s taillight while parallel parking yesterday. Today I got this text from them.”
“Hey there, this is (….) with the truck that you left a note on yesterday. Looked over the truck, scrape doesn’t look to bad on the taillight. Nothing that couldn’t get buffer out. I really appreciate the note, have a blessed day!” the text message read.
Slathbog replied: “Hey thanks so much (….)! It didn’t look like anything significant to me but it also looked new and I know some people can be touchy about that. Would you like me to purchase any buffing supplies for you?”
Touched by Slathbog’s kind gesture, the truck’s owner then responded: “That’s really kind of you man! You know what, if it’s possible…use that money on somebody else. Whether it’s a gift for a friend or a complete stranger, if you could pay it forward that way, I would really appreciate.”
Reddit users also shared their own car accident stories, with one writing: “Senior year of high school I was parking and hit a truck next to me. I stayed and told the guy what happened and he appreciated that I stayed and ended up offering me a job working for his company over the summer.”
