It has been around three years since Baby Driver was first release and truth be told; it did leave fans eager about a sequel.
However, over the last years, we have heard many rumors that suggested that there might be a sequel to this movie. Now Edgar Wright has put a rest to all those rumors by confirming that the script for the sequel has been finalized.
Moreover, he suggested that the sequel will not be rolled out with the name Baby Driver 2; so this is something new.
In his latest interview with the Empire, Wright revealed that he could not speak about it much; he can confirm that the title of the movie is not Baby Driver 2.
As of now, the script is completed and the team will see next year around this time whether or not we can get the actual production on the floor.
Quite exciting, right?
Considering that the final draft of the script is completed, we can expect the film production to start by next year. He confirmed to the Empire that the first draft of Baby Driver 2 had been written.
While certain information regarding the plots is still in discussion, he assures that in the sequel, the story will move further.
In the podcast interview, he explained that the studio asked him to think about writing Baby Driver sequel.
And, this was the sequel he could actually think about writing because he felt that there was somewhere to go with the characters of the film.
He had an idea if there were another film, in which ways the character’s journey would go. Fans got further excited when the lead character AKA baby driver, Ansel Elgort himself explained that he had seen the script and super excited about this sequel.
