NASA and European Space Agency (ESA), has come together for this international collaboration that is going to be launched on Feb 9th from Florida.
Wondering what is the goal of the mega project?
It is to understand the Sun from a closeness never attained before.
For the purpose, the suit is fitted with 10 instruments in total.
Four of those are in-situ instruments and the remaining six are imagers which are going provide never seen before comprehensive look at the sun and several detail observations will be derived out of it.
The suit is also going to bring out some of the never seen before pictures of the poles of the sun.
The project is set to lift off at 11:03 p.m. EST
Mission’s ESA project scientist, Daniel Müller, said “It is the first time ever that we are sending a satellite this close to the sun to actually read and study it from closer.
This is also going to be the first time ever that we will be reading the magnetic range of sun’s poles if there are any.”
He added, “We believe that this region is the determinant of the sun’s behavior that is most of the time out of the understanding of a human.”
Sun is the determinant of what goes on in this solar system.
The entire solar system is run by the sun and thus it is understood that we know the working of the star our life revolves around.
We have never been able to reach this close the sun but this time we are taking a try and hope that the operation turns out to be a success.
