Three elderly women from England have decided to move in together rather than face loneliness that comes along with coronavirus quarantine.

After best friends Carol, Dotty, and Doreen were told to self-isolate, they got afraid they’d be facing coronavirus quarantine for months in complete isolation.

As they admitted in an interview with BBC Breakfast, however, they came up with the idea to move in together after self-isolating for a week to make sure they are healthy.

“Meet Doreen, Carol & Dotty. Three bezzies who can’t bear to self isolate alone so they’re moving in together,” presenter Jayne McCubbin wrote in her Twitter post.

“A wee chink of light in the darkness They told me they fear for the young who’ve lost jobs & the only thing they’re stockpiling? Cheap wine.”

After appearing on BBC’s Breakfast via Skype, the women revealed they’re still working out which house to move into following their 7-day self-isolation.

As it appears, however, Dotty’s home looks most promising due to the fact that she has a nice garden and a device with a Netflix subscription that would allow them to binge-watch TV series while drinking wine they stocked up.

After the trio’s story went viral, people suggested it was a great idea for the elderly to team up in these hard times to beat loneliness, provided that they do so under safe conditions with prior self-isolation.

“This is awesome …. so good to see people not being left on their own and finding ways to support each other. #BetterTogether,” Twitter user @MicroBizGirl responded.
