Renowned Tennis star Serena Williams recently shared a post on Instagram, emphasizing on the importance of maintaining the balance between motherly responsibilities and professional obligations.
The photo shared by Serena on Friday shows her sitting in a car as her 2-year-old, Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr., sleeps in her arms.

Williams captioned the picture, saying: “I am not sure who took this picture but Working and being a mom is not easy. I am often exhausted, stressed, and then I go play a professional tennis match.
“We keep going. I am so proud and inspired by the women who do it day in and day out. I’m proud to be this baby’s mama.”
She added that the photo had no filter applied to it and included the hashtag “justme.”
Williams is a decorated Tennis star with as much as 23 major single titles under her belt. She is a real-life super-girl who knows the art of balancing the acts of being a mom and a professional athlete.
Williams documents small moments of her private life with her daughter and husband, Alexis Ohanian, and shares them on social media pages as a motivation for other working mothers.
In a recent announcement, Williams said she is going to join the Mom Project, a platform for connecting moms with work opportunities.
“It doesn’t matter whether you’re a team of one or 100,000; if you’re hiring, are you considering hiring moms? Together, we can influence how work gets done and build a better workplace for the future,” Williams said in her press conference, discreetly targeting business owners and managers.
Earlier this month, Williams spoke to Insider, telling them that she got the inspiration for doing her part in the struggle for gender equality from her daughter and National Soccer Team.
She is also working in collaboration with Secret Deodorant to conduct a study into the various factors leading to sexism in all levels of sports.
Speaking about USWNT, Williams said: “They have really been champions and have been using their voices in the biggest of ways.
“They inspire me, those women are — oh my gosh — I admire them so much, and I look up to them so much. They encourage me to want to continue to fight, and that’s what it’s all about.”
