Growing up old means we have lifetime wisdom that we can lay on anyone.
Elderly people have encountered all sorts of experience that we may or may not experience in our lifetime. But we can’t deny the fact that old people have to put up with their fair share of garbage and baloney in their days too.
In this post, we will offer a story, more of a humorous joke to celebrate the wisdom that senior citizens show in the face of absurdity.
A senior citizen with his wife went to breakfast at a local restaurant. He ordered the ‘Senior Special’ which included bacon, two eggs, a toast, and hash browns. All concluded under $2.99.
Unfortunately, the wife did not want eggs. So she told the waitress about excluding it from the ‘Senior Special.’
The waitress then told the elderly couple that they will have to pay $3.49 because they were now ordering a ‘la carte.’
FYI ‘la carte’ is ‘Senior Special’ without eggs. So the couple had to pay extra for not ordering the eggs.
The wife skeptically asked the waitress whether they have to pay extra for not taking the eggs. The waiter in reply said ‘YES.’
The wife then said she would take the ‘Senior Special.’ When asked how would she like her eggs to be, the wife told – raw and in the shell.
It was insanely sarcastic, and the wife was a savage. She went home with two eggs and baked a cake.
