A mother has slammed parents for sending their sick kids to school after becoming fed up with the contagious kids.
Samantha Reynolds, from Kentucky, criticized parents in a Facebook post and urged them not to send their sick kids to school after her son contracted a fever.
Samantha shared a picture of her son’s temperature on the thermometer and wrote: “This morning, Sam woke up and noticed her son wasn’t feeling well.
Sam took her son’s temperature, and wow! A fever. Sam gave her son Tylenol and then…”
“Sam did NOT send her son to school. Even after the fever went down a couple of hours later, Sam did NOT send her son to school.”
She wrote that she missed her work because the well-being of her son and the kids who attend his school is more important to her.
She went on to reveal that her son was invited to three birthday parties over the weekend but she missed them because she doesn’t want other kids to contract the fever.
She added: “Sam knows her son is still contagious until he is fever-free, WITHOUT medication, for 24 hours.”
“If Sam’s son is running a fever at 7 am on Sunday, Sam’s son will also not be attending school on Monday. Be. Like. Sam.”
The post instantly went viral online and received more than 110k likes and 198k shares.
Facebook users praised the mother for her post and wished more people were like her.
Some even said that it is disrespectful when parents send their sick kids to school without even thinking about other kids.
Facebook users said that if more people were like her there would be fewer chances of kids contracting diseases from fellow students.
After her post received an overwhelming response, Sam joked: “Now, if we can stop sharing the flu the way we are sharing this post ? Never saw this going this big lol.”
