Fighting cancer is not an easy task for everybody.
Even though a patient has a good chance of recovery, the process of treatment is unbearable because the treatment itself is painful and he or she would feel like his or her life before cancer would never come again. Cancer might come to anybody. It does not discriminate between rich and poor, men and women, or celebrities and non-celebrities.
Famous actress Shannen Doherty was diagnosed with breast cancer. Loss on loss, her cancer had spread to her lymph nodes, so she had to get chemotherapy and radiation.

Although it was a painful treatment, she was not afraid of posting the faces of a cancer patient. She did not want to stay quiet during the treatment and give a false impression of the patient.
Doherty posts her images of various stages of her treatment on her Instagram page. As her cancer spread to her lymph nodes, she started to lose her hair.
Since she is an actor, she has only shown the glamorous and beautiful image to the public. However, she decided to be open for her figures as a patient to show people many aspects of the cancer patient. Her honesty is both respectable and heartbreaking.

It is so hard for a patient to bear the whole process of treatment without the support of his or her loved ones.
During Shannen’s therapy, her family and friends have been a big support to let her endure her therapy. Especially, she says on the video below, “I could not have gotten through this without my husband. He has never missed a chemo, never missed a sick day.”
