Patrick Martin was shopping at the Best Buy Store located in McDonough, Georgia when he spotted the former NBA player Shaquille O’ Neal walking through the aisle.
During his successful basketball career, Shaquille O’Neal represented the LA Lakers along with Kobe Bryant who passed away in a helicopter crash on January 26th, 2020.
This dynamic pair together contributed significantly to the winning of Lakers in three consecutive years (2000-2002).
Patrick is aware of the relationship between both the players, approached the player in Best Buy and offered his sincere condolences for the loss of his friend and former teammate.
This man also offered is his condolences for Ayesha, O’Neal’s sister who passed away last year in October battling cancer.
Martin took it to Twitter to share his interaction with the player. He explained that he and his friend were looking to buy a new laptop when they ran into Shaquille O’ Neal.
The Georgian man said that they walked away after speaking to the player, but the player found them again on one of the aisles and thanked them for their words.
The man said the player said that he liked them and offered to buy a new laptop for Martin. The player also asked them to pick the nicest model, and he will pay for it.
Martin also posted a picture of him shaking hands with O’ Neal’ along with a brand new Microsoft laptop. This act of kindness by the former NBA player was hugely appreciated by Facebook users, and they called him generous and amazing.
Additionally, Martin was also praised for his kind words to the player and who generally fans are only interested in taking selfies with the big stars and not consider what they are going through.
