Sharon Stone was slammed online after remarking on Jonah Hill’s appearance after he politely asked everyone to stop commenting about it.
Sharon Vonne Stone, 63, is an American actress, producer, and former fashion model. Noted for playing femme Fatales and women of mystery on film and television, she became a popular s** symbol throughout the 1990s.
Jonah Hill Feldstein, 37, is an American actor, filmmaker, and comedian. He is known for his comedic roles in films for which he was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.
Sharon has drawn backlash from Jonah Hill’s fans after she made comments on his looks despite the actor politely asking people on Instagram not to comment on his body whether it’s good or bad.
Ignoring the request, Sharon wrote with a fire emoji which drew criticism from fans: “Can I say you look good cuz u do”.
Jonah‘s career has been shrouded in conversations and comments about his weight since his breakout role in Superbad in 2007.
The actor has been vocal about how his weight wavered through the 2010s but has spoken about being happier with himself in recent years. That said, he has requested that people stop commenting on his body.
Jonah had penned a statement asking that his 3.1M followers refrain from commenting on his looks entirely, as he said it “doesn’t feel good”.
“I know you mean well but I kindly ask that you not comment on my body, good or bad I want to politely let you know it’s not helpful and doesn’t feel good,” the actor respectfully said. “Much respect.”
While the comedian’s request has been met with support from his fans, actress Sharon decided to make a lighthearted comment in support as well.
The comment from Sharon’s verified account drew the rage from some of Jonah’s fans, who posted replies to her such as, “read the room” and “He literally just said no, Sharon Stone. Sheesh.”
The message quickly generated over 500 responses, with one fan writing, “Sharon Stone did not understand the assignment”.
A second follower posted, “CAN YOU NOT READ SHARON?”
“Would be amazing if you could delete this comment and learn how to read,” the third commenter said.
Jonah’s weight gains and losses have been talked about over the years. Recently, he has been sharing with his fans and friends on social media about his physical and mental health.
He called out the press for “years of public mockery” after photos of him shirtless surfaced online.
“I don’t think I ever took my shirt off in a pool until I was in my mid-30s even in front of family and friends,” he said.
“Probably would have happened sooner if my childhood insecurities weren’t exacerbated by years of public mockery about my body by press and interviewers,” he added.point 396 |

Jonah’s request for folks to stop commenting on his physique also got approval from celebrities such as SZA, Olivia Munn, and Aidy Bryant, who all used heart emojis or other neutral words of support.
He has previously written about being body-shamed and his latest post prompted an outpouring of support from fellow celebrities and fans, with many applauding him for trying to set boundaries.
He also unveiled a new tattoo that celebrated his dedication to body positivity and self-love.
The new ink located on his back reads: “Body Love,” and includes a drawing that looks similar to the logo for Body Glove, the water sports apparel company.
Meanwhile, Sharon told Town & Country last year that: “People still want to see my b**bs… It’s like, “Really? Grow up!” (She then reportedly threw up her arms during the interview, and joked, “But also … Here’s some b**bs!”)
“I mean, I never thought I was that sexy,” she said. “It’s difficult because everybody expects you to be that all the time.”
“It was very difficult for Marilyn Monroe,” she added. “She did movies that really mattered, like Bus Stop, The Misfits, but she still couldn’t get completely out of being that thing. It’s very hard to shake.”
