After the news of Prince Harry and his wife Meghan dropping their royal duties and becoming financially independent was announced, it shocked the entire world.
For some, it was a sad situation, and others did not take it too well.
The father of Meghan Markle, Mr. Thomas Markle, fully criticized his daughter in an interview that took place on Sunday.
He said in the interview that she cheapened the royal family by “creating a Walmart with a crown.” He also said that his daughter threw away the princess crown, which is the dream of every girl.
Mr. Markle shared his disappointment with his daughter’s actions and said she had everything, and she tossed it away for money.
Meghan’s father was alienated since the time of her marriage with Prince Harry. He also said in the interview that, both Meghan and Harry signed to represent the royals and be a part of the royals as well.
He was not happy with the decision that his daughter and Prince Harry took and said that she’s destroying the royal name and making it look shabby.
Earlier this year, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex promised to fully support the Queen, and will not participate in activities related to the British royal family.
The couple planned to balance their operations both in Britain and North America and will continue to honor Her Highness the Queen, their patronage and the commonwealth.
Both Harry and Megan included that the geographical balance will help them raise their child. It will help them keep an appreciation of the royal traditions in hand, where their son was born into.
However, Queen Elizabeth II declared on Saturday that both Harry and Megan will have their “His highness” and “Her highness” to be stripped off officially.
Also, their financial cut from the royal funds will be stopped, and it will take effect from the Spring of this year.
