A Chinese shopper was caught on camera getting pinned to the ground after being dragged out of a supermarket for refusing to put on a face mask.
The incident occurred at a Space store in Shenzen, China, where Ms. Qiu was confronted by two officers who told her to put on a face mask.
According to the reports, the local government of the Guangdong province has ordered all residents to wear face masks in public spaces in an attempt to prevent further cases of the novel coronavirus.
In addition, the authorities have warned that disobeying the province-wide face mask order is now a punishable offense.
As the staff of the Space supermarket in question alleged, the 51-year-old woman was told by several shoppers that she’s required to wear protective gear in public.
After getting in a quarrel with the shoppers, the woman allegedly started spitting on them before she was dragged out of the store by security personnel.
Amid growing concerns related to the novel coronavirus outbreak, desperate Chinese people were caught on camera using everything from plastic bottles to orange skin to bras in an attempt to protect themselves from the deadly infection.
As face masks are running low, residents have started resorting to creative techniques to decrease their chances of contracting the deadly virus.
In social media posts, people were seen wearing homemade plastic helmets, bras, plastic bags, and even fruits to cover their faces while in public.
While some people have mocked them for trying to stay safe in their own way, the people affected have little options as the authorities in certain regions have trouble providing sufficient amounts of masks which can be used for a maximum of four hours per piece according to experts.
