It is the time of grief as the shortest man in the world, Khagendra Thapa Magar, passed away at the age of 27.
The man who was just Two feet and two inches tall died after struggling with pneumonia for days in a hospital in Nepal.
Khagendra was recognized as the world’s shortest man by Guinness World Record in 2010.
First, Khagendra was recognized as the shortest living male teenager in the world till the age of 18 years, then in 2010, he was then recognized as the shortest man in the world.
At the time Khagendra spoke, “You may take me as a small person but I don’t take myself as one.
I am a big man who is going to live a big life.
I just hope this title brings me what I have been struggling for, a proper house and a good life for me and my family.”
Khagendra’s father Roop Bahadur said that at the time of his son’s birth, he was as tiny as the size of his palm.
Roop Bahadur said “he was so tiny that he could fit in anyone’s palm.
The toughest thing with him was to bathe him as he was so tiny; it was scary to hold him without the fear of hurting him.”
“He was happy and a confident person and his smile was so bright that he could make anyone at all smile.”
For living in this world which is built for average size people, being a person who just weighs 6 kgs is not easy.
But Roop said “Khagendra never let it affect him and he lived his life to the fullest just like any other man would.
He was loved and he loved everyone around him as well.”
