Sia has made a big reveal back in June when she said on her social media platform that she’s now a grandmother at a rather early age of 44, just weeks after she made it official of her adoption of two teenager sons.
She is regretting that moment, saying that her remarks made one and a half month earlier with her son having two babies of his own was rather rash and not thoughtful, saying that the news ‘wasn’t [her] news to share’. She related her newfound sentiments at a talk show this week, saying to the hosts that it was her ‘job to protect her children and not blab about what’s going on in their lives’.
The phenomenal Aussie chanteuse said on June 30 at an Apple Music podcast: ‘My youngest son just had two babies. I’m a f**king grandma! I’m just immediately horrified. No, I’m cool.’
When asked if she had any new responsibilities to carry as a grandmother this week, Sia said in a rather toned-down manner that ‘I’ve decided to stop talking about it.
I made a bit of a boo-boo because they’re my new children.
I’ve only had them for a year. I’m such an open book that I forget not everyone else is. While I didn’t get into trouble for blabbing about his [her son’s] children – I was peeing, which is where I have my best thoughts, and I realised that it was not my news to share with the world.’ Sia also responded: ‘I instantly realised I can’t talk about my children’s private lives.
I’m just learning how to be a mother. ’She had adopted two sons, both 18, last year, as their protective limits within foster care system was nearing its age boundaries.
She has refused to give out details of their personal information.
She only had this to say about her children: ‘They had extremely traumatic lives, and I had the resources to adopt them. These boys both had lived in about 18 homes each in their 18 years and never had any stability. They had extremely traumatic lives and I had the resources to adopt them and give them the resources to deal with their trauma and any therapy for their problems and the difficulty they’ve faced.
