Four siblings tragically died in a crash after an intoxicated driver rammed into their car and pushed the vehicle in the way of a truck and off the road.
The incident occurred on Interstate 70 in Indiana where 31-year-old Corey Withrow, who was high on drugs at the time of the crash according to the police, was driving a semi-trailer truck when he rammed into a car transporting four siblings aged 6, 8, 13, and 15.
According to the reports, the car, which was operated by the father of two of the siblings, slowed down due to encountering a construction zone when Withrow slammed into it and pushed it towards the rear side of the semi-trailer in front of the car.
The truck operated by Withrow then continued to thrust the car with four siblings inside across the lane on the left until they hit the berm where both the car and the truck caught fire.
All four siblings died in the crash. According to the reports, a passerby managed to pull 34-year-old Aaron Bruce, the father of two of the siblings, out of the burning vehicle. The man sustained severe injuries and was airlifted to an Indianapolis hospital.
Meanwhile, 31-year-old Withrow from Camden, Ohio, escaped his burning vehicle without life-threatening injuries. After receiving treatment, he was booked into Wayne County Jail.
Following the deadly road incident, Withrow has been charged with four counts of reckless homicide, one count of operating while intoxicated causing serious bodily injury, and four counts of operating while intoxicated causing death.
