When a baby is born with an uncommon condition, parents are automatically worried about their baby’s condition.
A baby born with rare white hair was included in this case.
A baby with white hair is extremely rare, especially when the baby is not albino. Baby Bence was born in 2015 and he had a shiny silver hair since he was born.
He was born as a healthy baby. He weighed over 11 pounds at birth and born just on time. But when his parents saw his head, parents couldn’t be more surprised. The head of baby Bence was covered with silver-white hair.

The nurses who cared for him even called him Prince Charming because of his hair. His parents were so worried about his condition and the doctors ran through some tests. They examined Bence’s blood sample and it was because of the special pigment shortage.
However, it was not the sign of illness or prenatal stress. But since Bence had no skin pigment problem, it is not albinism. And the hair color seemed to be temporary. Bence’s doctor “concluded that while melanin pigment may be missing in the baby’s hair, there is no sign of any other shortage of pigment on the boy’s body that would determine it to be albinism.”
His hair color has started a controversial debate with experts. Some said that it would darken as he grows whild others believed that it was an early sign of albinism.
There were some debates among the commenters, one noted, “It can be an indication of albinism. It may look really pretty but could be bad for the child. It can be underdiagnosed. One of my grandchildren has yellow albinism. It was brought to our attention by the eye doctor when he was 2. He is now 12 and is considered legally blind.”
Another said, “Uh there is different types of albinism, my daughter was born with hair like that, guess what she has dirty blonde hair now and has some pigment but she has albinism. Some consider this completely normal.”
But there are some people who experienced the same thing but their baby is normal: “My little girl’s hair was white when she was born and very thick like [this]…it still is white and keeps getting thicker. She was tested for albinism and has genetics tests ran on her and she is perfectly normal!”

Baby Bence was not the only one who was born with the silver hair. MilliAnna who was born in 2016. However, in her case, it was genetics. Her hair color was a very rare trait called Poliosis, which results in a colorless patch of hair and the skin.
MilliAnna’s mother explained: “We are unsure how far back the birthmark goes as my grandmother was adopted as a child and hasn’t met her biological family. I was hoping she did have it. My younger sister that my mother had a few years after me didn’t get it, so I didn’t know if MilliAnna was going to, but once I had her and they laid her on my chest and I saw she had it I was so happy.”
A trait has been delivered through a happy family!
Even with his silver-white hair, Baby Bence is still a healthy and happy toddler!
