When you see a random guy playing a fine piano tune in a public place, it’s undoubtedly the best thing ever. Train stations are, in particular, the spots you can find some pundit players.
Seriously, it’s so much fun to see them perform amid the cheering crowd.
Maybe that’s why actor and musician Jeff Goldblum opted to perform at a train station to publicize his jazz album last year.
Yes, we’re talking about Dr. Ian Malcolm from Jurassic Park.
According to PopSugar, Goldblum stopped by a public piano dedicated to Sir Elton John at St. Pancras International Station in London and started playing.
He quickly drew a fascinating crowd and, according to him, it was one of the best experiences of his life.
“I always like playing out and about,” Goldblum said. “You never know who you’re gonna meet.”
Something similar happened at London’s St. Pancras International Station when a singer stopped by to join a 91-year-old pianist.
The old fella named Dennis regularly performs at the train station but the incident which happened in March was a total surprise for him.
Singer Ceili O’Connor was touring with Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical “Cats,” when she and her mates spotted the old man playing a fine tune at the station.
It was when Dennis started playing “Memory” – a hit tune from the play, the CBS News reported.
Ceili joined the old man and provided vocals in her magical voice. The beautiful encounter was later shared online by bandmate Matthew James Rowland.
Sharing footage of the duo’s performance, Rowland wrote on Facebook: “We’re on our way to Brussels for the next leg of the Cats the Musical tour.
“I saw this guy playing and called Ceili O’Connor as I knew he needed a singing partner.
“Captured a bit of the magic here. He was so sweet, saying Ceili ‘made his day’ and that she must be ‘in a show’. One of life’s precious moments.”
