A single gay father is being hailed as a superhero after he adopted a baby with Down’s Syndrome, who was reportedly rejected by more than 20 families.
The warm-hearted man was identified as 41-year-old Luca Trapanese who hails from Naples in Italy. Moreover, the loving father has gone about documenting his brand new beginning, alongside his little daughter named Alba. The duo is winning hearts as we speak as Luca boldly explains how proud he is to be her father.
According to local media outlets, little Alba was put up for adoption by her own cruel mum due to her genetic condition, which is known to bring about a wide range of learning challenges.
Moreover, Luca on the other hand says he has been working with kids with disabilities for quite some time now. What began sometime during his teens, has now turned into his passion and he feels immense pride in whatever he does.
Luca also established his very own charity in the year 2007, which gives disabled children the opportunity to socialize with one another while developing and exploring a wide array of talents too.
Despite the fact that he is a single dad, Luca says that he has the great skills as well as the training and experience that would give young Alba a caring and loving home.
Therefore, he was granted custody of the child in July, when she was just 13 days old in age.
“When I first laid eyes on my daughter and held her in my arms, I was overcome with immense joy,” he added in a recent interview to BBC.
“She proud me so much happiness as well as a sense of great fulfillment too. And today, I can firmly say that I am so proud to be her father.”
Luca also went on to talk about how little Alba felt like his daughter immediately and he knew that this was his calling.
“This was the first time ever that I held a newborn in my arms. Before that, I used to be so scared.”
Shockingly, Luca has gained a massive fan following of over 131,000 followers through his Instagram account. And they are all excited to watch him through his journey of raising his beautiful daughter.
