The two were present at the stage of the premiere of Star Trek: Picard as they walked through the red carpet at the Odeon Luxe Leicester Square, in London.

The two have been friends for years and The Lord of the Rings actor though it would be perfect to give the world a glimpse of how great of friends they are. 

So he went down on his one knee and popped the question. Yes, McKellen asked Stewart to marry him while he was down on his one knee.

It was adorable to look at them too. Who could have said no to such a beautiful proposal and yes, Stewart said YES too.

Marking it even more special, McKellen got up and gave Stewart a long hot kiss that people are going to talk about for a very long time.

No, they are not getting married for real and no, it was not their first-ever kiss either.

Back in 2015, on the premiere of Mr. Holmes, the two of the most valued actors had kissed each other making it huge news and a great fun story to share for years and years.

McKellen was playing the character of elderly Mr. Holmes in the film.

The two had this friendship for a very long time but this could have gone very wrong at one point in time but fortunately, nothing like that happened.
