A 20-year-old figure skating champion took her own life by jumping from her apartment building after she retired from competition due to health problems.
Ekaterina Alexandrovskaya may have committed suicide but according to Izvestiu, ‘the circumstances of the incident are being clarified.’
The figure skating champion, who was born in Russia, obtained Australian citizenship four years ago.
In 2018, she completed for her adopted country at the Pyeongchang Olympics with her skating partner Harley Windsor.
Even though they won the world junior title, Miss Alexandrovskaya was forced to retire from competitions as she sustained several injuries.
