You feel pretty thrilled when you are up in the middle of the night with your newborn.
So thrilled that you might even mistake your newborn for a rolled up robe? That is what happened to this first time, dad!
In the video posted, this yawning father is dozing off in a hospital chair, rocking what he thinks is his baby. But in actuality, it is just a robe. His wife, the mother of their newborn is in the hospital bed recording the whole thing and she keeps roasting from the bushed-up dad to her baby who is securely in her arms.
It is not clear how the rookie father mistook the robe for the newborn. Maybe the newborn was with the dad, to begin with, and the mother took the wrapped baby as he was nodding off? Or perhaps the father was just so exhausted that he really believed the robe was his brand new child? Whichever, he has totally perfected that rocking motion that pacifies fussy newborns.
The father was in a subconscious state of mind as he continued to look at his wife for a short moment with half-closed eyes before turning back his attention towards the baby… the robe actually, in his hands. As he rocks the robe in front of him, his wife continued filming the whole thing with amusement.
The video was captured at a hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii. The video received hundreds of views with viewers flooding it with comments.
