An incredible moment has been caught on camera that shows a sloth crossing one of the streets of Costa Rica.

Tourists captured a sloth bear, who is known to be lazy and slow, crossing the main road between Cahuita and Puerto Viejo in Costa Rica.

The incredible up-close footage of sloth was captured by tourists and one of the videos captured by them was posted online.

The video instantly went viral after it was posted online. One user wrote: ‘It is amazing to think that these creatures have survived so long’ while another said: ‘Aww what a cutie I hope he/she made it to the other side ???’.

One user joked: ‘This is the perfect example of how one looks after a night of drinking’ while another added: ‘It looks exactly like my ex-wife cleaning the house’.

A man then helped the sloth to safely cross the road. People praised the kind man for helping the sloth. One user wrote: ‘Thank you so much, kind man! Look at this grateful face!!!!!’

Another user said: ‘WOW absolutely amazing ?? That Adorable Face, And a big thank you Mate ?? you are an Angel’ while the third one wrote: ‘Well done for helping her. So must nastiness in the world today that it is good to see some compassion. Thank you sir’.

One user said: ‘Simply beautiful. that face of gratitude and the man that was kind enough to help him’ while another wrote: ‘What a lovely guy I sure hope he gets the best deed back’.

There are two kinds of sloths – the ones with three fingers on each hand and the ones with only two fingers on each hand.

Sloths are known to be the slowest and laziest animals and this video is proof. Thanks to the kind man for helping the sloth to cross the road.
