The White House offers a long list of surprises, but one of the funniest stories is when an adorable mouse fell from a hole in the ceiling and landed directly on a reporter!
He even shared a video on Twitter to prove it.
NBC News White House Correspondent Peter Alexander wrote: “A mouse literally fell out of the ceiling in our White House booth and landed on my lap.”
Alexander and his colleagues shared the video of the cute mouse hiding in the corner of their workspace that is part of the press briefing area.
Around 200 years old, the White House also has some problems of a house its age. According to PEOPLE, dead mice have been spotted in the press work area adjacent to the West Wing.
Journalists there have been informed about the critters when temperatures outside decrease and the small animals go indoors for warmth.
One Twitter user commented on Alexander’s post: “It’s so cute and tiny!”
Another wrote: “I feel your pain. Once while working for a doctor, I went in the X-ray development room, switched on the light and a mouse fell from the fixture, landed on my long braided ponytail and hung on for dear life while I screamed swinging him back and forth until he let go. #Mousegate.”
A third said: “Man, ain’t that truth. I have a terrier and I’d put it up against a cat any day of the week when it comes to dealing with rodentia. The W.H. rats wouldn’t stand a chance, either.”

Someone else commented: “Now you’ll ‘feel’ it in your lap forever lol. I had one run across the top of my bare foot 25 years ago… I can STILL FEEL IT!”
