You Will Be Stunned To See This Snake With Two Fully-Functioning Heads


A snake lover would probably love the sight but to a normal person, the scene would be extremely scary and they would definitely choose to run away.

In footage shared by Susanta Nanda, an Indian Forest Officer, an uncommonly seen wolf snake with 2 fully formed heads was discovered recently in Odisha. India and has been in the headlines since then.

The non-venomous snake has 2 fully formed heads, which means the wolf snake has two tongues and four working eyes attached to one body.

What is interesting about this snake is that both of its heads function independently of each other. So, the two heads of the same snake were seen fighting for food.

Mr. Nanda shared the footage on Twitter and wrote that the rare wolf snake was rescued from one house in the Keonjhar district’s Dehnkikote Forrest range in Odisha.

He added that the snake with 2 heads was then released into the forest. The snake was discovered by Rakesh, a photographer, and then released in the wild.

It is noted that the snake with 2 heads is 14 cm long. Since both of the heads work independently, such creatures find it difficult to survive in the wild.

Although these kinds of creatures are rare, out of 100,000 live births, one such snake is found.

The video has garnered almost 30,000 views, has been liked by 2,200 people and retweeted 558 times. This video received a range of comments from curious people who wanted to know whether both of the heads have working brains.

Interestingly, two-headed snakes hold a special place in the Indian mythology involving Lord Krishna. In many cultures, such a creature is a sign of bad luck.
