Snoop Dogg’s infant grandson died, 10 days after being born and the rapper’s family members announced the sad news on his Instagram.
The rapper’s wife Shante Broadus announced the death of their grandson Kai on Instagram, sharing a video of herself singing a version of the R&B song “The Love We Had Stays on My Mind” by The Dells.
“To My Fifth G Baby,” she wrote. “Kai Love 9-15-19/9-25-19.”
Snoop Dogg’s son Corde Broadus also shared the tragic news in an Instagram post writing, “Kai Love 9/15/19 – 9/25/19 ///// My Son Kai brought so much love and positivity into this world,” Corde’s caption began, alongside a video of his 13-month-old daughter Elleven Love giving her baby brother a kiss in the hospital and a sign bearing his name and death date that also read, “Love + Light” with a smiley face.point 468 |

“His energy will live on and these 10 days of love will always be special to us,” continued the grieving dad, 25. “Let’s all cherish life and those we love while we are here. Thank you.“
Fans paid tribute, with one writing: ”I am so sorry for your loss Corde. My heart breaks for you. There are no words. Sending you all my love.”
”Sooo sorry for your loss brother, you all have an angel and I pray God comforts y’all in this time,” another said.
”Sorry for your loss bro. Kai will live on to continue giving you and yours the gift of love and happiness,” a follower replied.
”Light and love to your family,” an Instagram user added.
The 47-year-old rapper has not made any statement about his grandson’s death, he posted an Instagram video about trusting God.
“If you’re facing something you don’t understand: Choose to trust God” the video says. “Remember all He has done for you.
“His ways are higher than ours,” it continues. “He is always good.”
In January 2015, Snoop became grandfather for the first time as his son Corde’s then-girlfriend Jessica Kyzer gave birth to a baby boy named Zion.
Corde shares Elleven with partner Soraya, who also gave birth to Kai. The family have not yet released a cause of death.
