Holidays are the best.
We get to relax, eat good food, and spend time with our loved ones.
Even when everyone is having a great time, though, this family was missing one thing.
In the video, Bethany Bronson and her kids are swimming with a family friend. As this little girl says in the video, this family was missing her father, who was deployed in Afghanistan.
Suggested by their family friend, this family decided to film the trip to show it to Hyrum Bronson, the husband of Bethany and a father of these children.

When asked what she wanted to do when her dad comes back, the girl replied that she wanted to hug her father. Now, that was something that her mother couldn’t make it happen at the moment. Captain Hyrum was on a 6-month mission, and he would not be coming home for another 3 weeks. So, this family suspected nothing.
Until THIS happened.
As soon as Bethany finished her answer, a man emerged from the water. He was in a full uniform, and had scuba diving gear on. When Bethany looked at him, she utterly shocked at his appearance.
It was her husband, Captain Bronson.

Emerging out from the water, Captain Bronson said: “Mrs. Bronson, your husband’s here, reporting for duty.”
Then, both his kids rushed to hug him, as Bethany broke down in tears. She was speechless. The whole family was finally united! What an amazing surprise – no one in the video would have thought of this when they first began their trip!
Like Captain Hyrum, troops all over the world are serving our country everyday. They are sacrificing their time to protect us, and we should never forget about that.
