A loving son was caught on camera scaling a hospital building in order to see his mother who was quarantined after contracting coronavirus.
Heartbreaking images show 30-year-old Jihad Al-Suwaiti from Palestine using a drainpipe to scale the hospital building where his mother had been staying while suffering from COVID-19.
According to Bored Panda, Jihad would visit his mom every day by scaling the building and sitting on the ledge outside her window so that he could see her in person.
Sadly, Jihad’s mother, Rasma Salama, who also suffered from leukemia, recently passed away.
“He spent most of his day there, observing his mother’s condition from outside the window, before coming down when he was convinced that his mother was fast asleep,” a hospital official confirmed according to local media.
According to the reports, Jihad is the youngest son in the family and he had lost his father 15 years ago. As his brother said after the death of their mother, Jihad had a very hard time accepting what had happened.
“Our mother was also battling leukemia prior to being diagnosed with COVID-19 a few weeks ago,” the brother allegedly said.
“When Jihad was informed about our mother’s death, he was angry and in shock. Now he seems to have accepted the fact.”
After his mother’s death, Jihad’s story went viral and touched the hearts of people from all around the world, whereas Jihad was branded a ‘devoted’ and ‘loving’ son.
