32-year-old Sitaram Iraon brutally attacked his own mother with an ax before being caught cooking her brain in a pan to eat it.
The Indian man from the Batolda village in the Karshia district of Raigar, Chhattisgarh is accused of murdering his 50-year-old mother.
According to local media reports, Iraon, who would always return home drunk and hurt Phoolbai, his mother, was furious at being denied cash for alcohol.
He then took an ax and struck his mother in the skull. Iraon took her brain out and fried it in a pan.
His sister-in-law stopped by and saw the horrific scene, causing him to run away before being tracked down and arrested by authorities.
According to police, Iraon, who is mentally unstable, was spotted hiding nearby. When asked, he admitted to the crime.
His younger brother said he attempted to convince him to stop drinking but when he failed, he moved out of the house and left Iraon with their mom.
