Watch Son Surprise His Single Mum By Giving Her A Brand-New Home For Free!

In a heartbreaking video, a son was seen surprising his single mother by giving her a custom-made, brand-new home for free as a ‘thank you’ for caring for him for so long.
Josh DeShong from Dallas, Texas, is a real estate company owner who gave his mum a surprise of her life when he took her on a tour of a brand-new home.
“It was always a dream of mine to take care of her like she’s been able to take care of me,” Josh said, explaining that his mother went through all of the struggles of raising a child on her own. “What bigger gift could you give somebody than a roof over their head?”
As Josh added in an interview with Inside Edition, his mother wanted to move closer to him and his 4-year-old daughter which is why he began looking for vacant lots in his proximity.
“The city condemned the house. There was floor-to-ceiling black mold everywhere, it needed new wiring, new plumbing. It was way worse than I anticipated. I should have just knocked it down,” Josh said while recalling the moment he first saw the house his mother now lives in.
Nevertheless, the hardworking son decided not only to renovate the home but to design it just the way his mum would love.
“She knew about the house but she didn’t know it was going to be hers. I started picking out materials six or seven months ago, and I was putting really nice materials in there. She was like, ‘I don’t know why you’re putting that in there,’” Josh added.
On the day of the big revelation, the single mum was in disbelief when her son told her the home was for her. “You know how to get to me, don’t you,” she added, teary-eyed while giving her son a big hug.
