Sony Revealed New 16K TV That Is Bigger Than A Bus

Sony has unveiled a new TV whose size is literally baffling.

The tech giant has gone a step ahead of its competitors by introducing a new 16K television that is almost two stories in height.

To give you a better idea of its picture quality, let’s simplify things.

As you’d have known, 1080p HD presents an incredible screen when you watch your favorite TV shows or sports games.

Well, this bad boy has 64 times more pixels than that.

Just imagine watching Game of Thrones or Vikings on this giant. As per the specifications, it is 5.4 meters (17ft) high and 19.2 meters (63ft) wide.

“We’re moving slowly towards 8K TVs at the end of the decade and who knows how long it will take to get beyond that, so 16K is likely to be limited to the corporate world for the time being,” Strategy Analytics’ David Mercer told the BBC.

“But there’s no doubt about it. These displays are incredibly impressive in person – even 8K on a big display is almost mesmerizing.

“When you get to this resolution it delivers almost a quasi-virtual reality experience as your eyes perceive there to be depth to the content.”

Unfortunately, we would have to wait for a long time before Sony decides to make the new TV available to customers.

If so, it would face tough competition with its relatively smaller competitor The Wall launched by South Korean tech giant, Samsung.

The 219-inch TV was unveiled at the CES conference in Las Vegas, where various tech firms from around the world flaunt their latest inventions.

It was the second version of another massive television called The Wall 1.0, a 146-inches telly released by the South Korean company at the CES technology expo last year.

In case the 146 and 219 inches televisions are too big for you, you can have a humble 75-inches Samsung TV, called The Window.

But don’t fall for its name as it too costs a handsome price.
