Game of Thrones’ star Sophie Turner and teen heartthrob Joe Jonas tied the knot in a secret, surprise wedding in Las Vegas.
According to the reports, the ceremony was overseen by an Elvis Presley impersonator and cost the couple $600.
Following the celebration and mere hours after the Billboard Music Awards took place in the Sin City, 40-year-old DJ Diplo took the event to Instagram where he shared footage from the couple’s wedding.
In the video, Joe is seen standing at the altar waiting for his bride, who wore a jumpsuit with a white veil, to arrive. In the surprise wedding, the couple tied the knot in the presence of their family, friends, and fellow BMA attendees.
Since Joe previously confirmed that the two would be getting married in France, it is likely that another ceremony will follow the Las Vegas bash.
In one of the clips surfacing the internet, Sophie is heard saying: “I thee wed, and I love you, and I thank God He gave me you.”
Moments later, the couple followed the minister’s direction and repeated the following words while gazing at each other’s eyes: “I promise you, I will never leave you. I will love and trust you all the days of my life.”
The couple was first seen together in 2016 when they attended the MTV EMAs with arms wrapped around each other. They haven’t, however, confirmed that they were an item until January 2017.
Earlier this year, Turner also joined the ranks of other Jonas wives who made it on the brothers’ comeback single titled Sucker.
In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Sophie spoke out about the beginnings of her relationship with Joe and said:
“We had a lot of mutual friends, and they’d been trying to introduce us for a long time. We were following each other on Instagram and he direct-messaged me one fine day, out of the blue.”
Back in March, the Game of Thrones star also openly professed her love for the singer in an interview with Glamour. Then, the actress revealed:
“A lot of [my joy] is to do with being with a person I’ve fallen in love with, who loves me more than he loves himself, and who wants to see me find my own happiness.
“That was probably the biggest thing that pushed me to find who I am – and finds my happiness in things other than acting.”
