Southwest Airlines is currently under fire as it investigates a bizarre incident involving one of its pilots.
According to reports from local media outlets, a pilot opted to bring the world of politics on board his flight, announcing a popular ‘anti-Biden’ slogan towards the end of the journey.
The pilot all of a sudden picked up the intercom and stated, ‘Let’s go Brandon!’- causing shock and outrage amongst so many passengers on board.
This jaw-dropping incident took place last Friday during the early hours of the morning. The flight was scheduled from Houston to Albuquerque.
While the pilot is yet to be unnamed, the news went viral as an active reporter for the Associated Press was also onboard and managed to catch the pilot in the act.
The AP stated how ‘audible gasps’ filled the air as many passengers were taken aback by the pilot’s controversial behavior.
Ever since the story has gone viral on social media, Southwest Airlines is feeling the heat, as it makes prompt arrangements to launch a public investigation into the matter.
A recent press statement was released which mentioned how the airline takes immense pride in providing all of its passengers with a very warm, safe, comfortable, and welcoming experience.
“We put great efforts to make sure that we provide a respectful environment for all the passengers that choose to fly with us every year,” it went on to state.
Similarly, the airlines put great emphasis upon how it definitely does not support any employee who publicly voices their opinion on political matters. “One employee’s perspective should not be taken as the viewpoint of the entire airlines and its 54,000 other staff members,” it boldly added.
As the airline continues with its internal investigation into the matter, it is still not clear as to whether or not the pilot involved was put on leave or not. Whatever the case may be, many Americans have vowed to boycott Southwest for this unacceptable incident.
