Work on the movie commenced last summer and there were reports that the crew and cast would start shooting in June 2019.

It was speculated by fans that this time frame was selected in order to give the people working on the movie enough time to finish the process before NBA training camps started for the 2019-2020 session. And, obviously, LeBron also has to play for Los Angeles Lakers.

There’s no definite notion of whether the movie will have a storyline similar to the original 1996 Space Jam movie that starred Michael Jordan but looking at the uniforms revealed by Nike, it can be safely assumed that there will be a basketball match in the movie.

LeBron will not be the only LA Lakers player in the movie as there is news of Anthony Davis, Klay Thompson, Damian Lillard, Diana Taurasi, and Chris Paul starring as well.

Another notable name from the cast is Don Cheadle but his exact role is still shrouded in mystery.
