Saul Jimenez Fortes, 28, was pierced in the leg during a bullfight in Bilbao, Spain this weekend.
After a few tense seconds of being rammed by the best the matador from Malaga calmly walks away.
This is the horrific moment 28-year-old bullfighter Saul Jimenez Fortes is tossed in the air by a raging beast for the third time in 3 years. However, the matador seemed unfazed by the incident in Bilbao, Spain.
This is the shocking moment a Spanish bullfighter is sent flying into the air and is gored in the leg while performing in the ring – but calmly walks away.
Saul Jimenez Fortes was appearing at the Bilbao’s Fair at Vista Alegre in Bilbao, Spain, when he seems to wobble slightly and lose control of the bull.
The beast then appears to pierce his leg twice before Fortes is thrown up in the air and hits the floor with a thud.
One of his wounds is said to have been more than five inches deep, damaging the carotid artery, jugular vein, thyroid gland and the esophagus, reaching the vertebrae.
His surgeon, Dr. Máximo García Padrós, told Spanish paper, El Mundo, that the manator was raring to get back into the ring and kill the bull.
He said Fortes told him to: ‘Give me a couple of stitches and I will go out and kill the bull.’
In August 2015 Fortes needed four more hours of surgery after a bull’s horn went through his chin and reached the base of his skull in Vitigudino, Salamanca.
