An adorable video of a 9-year-old disabled girl telling ‘I Love You’ to the cashier after he let her help him is winning the Internet.
Lisa Teach was shopping with her daughter Lilly at a Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Giant Foods stores.
Giant Food Stores’ cashier, Isaac Witte noticed Lilly’s interest in in the grocery bags while she was at the checkout line.
Witte invited her to help him bag the groceries and Lilly agreed immediately.
Her mother Teach wrote on Facebook: “She likes watching how everything fits into the grocery bags, kind of like the game Tetris. I believe its sort of therapeutic for her in a way.”
“I looked at him and said, ‘you have no idea what you just asked her — she’s going to love this!’” Teach told WXIA-TV.
Witte and Lilly also posed for a picture together which her mother shared online. Teach also shared a video on her Facebook.
“I just love it. I love you!” Lilly says in the video. You’re the best,” Witte replies.
When Witte was asked about the interaction with Lilly, he said:
“To be honest, I also have a disability. So I kind of figured since no one had given me that opportunity when I was younger I thought, ‘well, why not?’”
Teach said:
“She doesn’t say this to everyone, but at the moment, I believe this was her way of saying thank you for seeing me and for letting me help, I love you,”
“Thank you Isaac for taking an ordinary task and turning into a special memory that we will always remember.”
