Until recently, an enormous sized sperm whale was found dead on the Luskentyre beach in Scotland.
The amount of dirt in its stomach weighed around 220 lbs.
Oodles of debris and sea wastes were retrieved from its stomach surprisingly. A team of professionals from the Scottish Marine Animal Strandings Scheme (SMASS) turned up at the spot to examine.
Almost after 48 hours of diagnosis, they finally discovered the actual reason behind its death.
They also clarified the entire matter to Facebook and said that they are yet not certain about the actual cause of death. But the amount of dirt was really mammoth, they lamented.
The native dwellers probably found out the dead body of the Whale. And they instantly reported this to the SMASS professionals to unravel the real cause of death.
However, the creature was not found in dire condition. But the amount of debris which got incorporated inside its stomach can be the sole reason behind its live stranding.
But, nevertheless, the amount of plastic found inside its body was horrendous, a SMASS expert told the reporters.
Some of the things that were found inside the animal’s body were cups, gloves, bags, tubing and packing straps. And this again proves how marine wastes can pose a major threat to the marine habitation.
Dan Parry, a native dweller takes a stroll across the Luskentyre beach every day. And he told the media that all of us are facing the ruinous consequences of marine pollution.
And he is pretty unsure about how this pathetic incident took place.
And according to the SMAAS, the whale swallowed both terrestrial as well as aquatic rubbish. And they further reported the media that their investigation is not finished yet. And they are going to retrieve further details about the actual reason for the whale’s death.
