While huntsman spiders may bite, they are considered harmless to people and are actually beneficial to the environment. Though they are not dangerous, huntsmen are often feared by people because of their large size, their speed, and their ability to jump.

Nevertheless, we could all use a huntsman or two around our homes, whereas the critters help you clean around by eating insects and cockroaches.

Normally, these spiders are afraid of humans and prefer to stay away from them. Instead, they like to hide in dark and secluded spaces where they are less likely to be disturbed.
