A 14-year-old boy who died from cancer was honored when hundreds of sports cars formed a special procession at his funeral.
Alec Ingram passed away in November from bone cancer. As a special tribute, hundreds of sports cars lined the streets and formed a special procession, fulfilling the teen’s wish.
His mom, Jen Insgram, said to Good Morning America: “We miss him so much, but all the love really brings me some peace.”
The Sydney’s Soldiers Always foundation, which was created by one of Ingram’s friends, helped to make Alec’s dream come true.
Sydney’s Soldiers Always started when Dana Manley’s 8-year-old daughter passed away in 2018 due to cancer.
Like Alec, Sydney’s daughter also loved motorcycles and wished for bikers to lead her procession. With the foundation, Manley’s daughter’s dream came true. They also wanted to do the same thing for Alec.
“He just had an absolute love for big, shiny super cars… the McLaren, Lamborghinis — he even had a wish day where he got to ride in a Lamborghini,” Manley expressed.
She also described the teen as the ‘happiest kid,’ adding he always had the best outlook in life when he was fighting cancer for years.
“He loved his family, he loved his friends, he loved Jesus, always smiling,” Manley shared. “Even through treatment, he had the best outlook on life. He was just a good kid.”
Ingram said: “We want to thank our community, the car community, our church and everyone who has prayed for Alec and our family these past four years, and everyone who has shown us so much love since he passed.”
