Adam Sandler shared his deepest condolences with Cameron Boyce’s family and a tribute to the late Disney actor on Instagram after his unexpected death on Saturday, July 6.
According to his family, the reason for Boyce’s death was a seizure that was brought on by an ongoing medical condition.
Sandler wrote after a few hours of his death, “Too young. Too sweet. Too funny. Just the nicest, most talented, and most decent kid around.” “Loved that kid,” he added.
Sandler and Boyce worked together on Adam’s hit comedies, Grown Ups and Grown Ups 2. He acted as Sandler’s son Keithie Feder in the films.
“Cared so much about his family,” Sandler continued. “Cared so much about the world. Thank you, Cameron, for all you gave to us. So much more was on the way. All our hearts are broken. Thinking of your amazing family and sending our deepest condolences.”
Salma Hayek, who represented Boyce’s mother, penned on Instagram, “I had the privilege to play Cameron’s mother in #grownups 1 and 2 and we stayed in touch through the years.”
She recalled, “He was spirited, talented, kind, generous, funny and a shining light.” She added, “His joy will live in our hearts forever as he goes on dancing and shining elsewhere. My heart goes to his lovely family.”
While they showed their love on Instagram, Disney boss Robert Iger tweeted that the Walt Disney Company grieves the loss of Cameron Boyce, who was a friend to so many of them, and filled with a lot of life, heart, and talent, and far too young to die.
He added that their prayers go out to his friends and his family.
