Chris Pratt’s Guardians of the Galaxy character Star-Lord is revealed to be both polyamorous and bisexual.

The revelation about Peter Quill, a.k.a. Star-Lord, has been made in the new Guardians of the Galaxy issue.

In the Marvel comic titled ‘I Shall Make You a Star-Lord,’ Quill spends almost 150 years on Morinus planet accompanied by a female and male humanoid Aradia and Mors.

The story from writer Al Ewing, colorist Federico Blee, letterer Cory Petit, and artist Juann Cabal shows the trio entering a polyamorous relationship.

They were also shown hugging while taking a bath together in a temple.

The relationship lasts for more than a century, according to ScreenRant.

“It’s been over a decade,” Star-Lord says to the two humanoids. “Time to accept the truth … Morinus is my home. You’re my home. Thanks for accepting me, guys.”

The issue sparked both shock and support from comic fans.

One Twitter user commented: “Going to bed happy knowing that Star Lord is canonically bi now.”

Another person wrote: “Star lord has big bi energy so I’m glad he’s being confirmed.”

A third admitted how ‘happy’ they are with the revelation.

It is not clear whether the hero’s sexuality will make its way into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

With characters like Loki, Mystique, Hulkling, Valkyrie, Wiccan, Star-Lord is not the first LGBTQ+ character from the Marvel comics.

In 2019, Pratt defended his place of worship when Elliot Page, previously known as Ellen page, claimed it had an ‘anti-LGBTQ agenda.’

He wrote on Instagram that “nothing could be further from the truth” and that his church “opens their doors to absolutely everyone.”

Pratt also said that his church “helped me tremendously” during his divorce.
