Although audiences had varying reviews set in store for the most recent Star Wars trilogy, now when going to the cinema seems like a faraway tale from apocalyptic space wars itself now, one of the actors in the series had a very positive message to pass around today.
Featured in a video on Disney’s official Twitter account, actress Daisy Ridley, who portrayed Rey the heroine of the trilogy series, read a children’s book titled “BB-8 On The Run” for the people taking precautions in quarantine in their homes.
Ridley was partaking in the ceremonial mood of her own birthday by spreading the positivity in her home, who celebrates her 28th birthday as of date.
The story takes on the adventures of BB-8 the droid in the whole series, and its venture in the plotline of The Force Awakens, after its departure with the master Poe Dameron.
While in desperate search, BB-8 is set to coincidentally meet with Ridley’s character Rey, who helps it along the way to return back to the base of the Resistance, thereinby getting them the secret map which will lead the ransack party to locate Luke Skywalker.
In the video, she expressed heartfelt thanks and gratitude who were patiently waiting in their abodes. Ridley also included a special note of thanks to the viewers around the world:
‘Thank you to everyone staying at home and thank you to everyone out on the frontlines helping those in need. Please accept my tiny offering of gratitude in the form of storytelling.’
Both young and old Star Wars fans loved the message and the extent that she went through to spread the warmth and character she wished to convey:
One fan went so far as to saythat Daisy was ‘amazing’ while another lauded her activism and the spirit of involvement, making her ‘one of the best working actresses today’, while most of them would unanimously argue that she’s indeed ‘very cute’.
Another really couldn’t keep it to him/herself: ‘YAYYYYYYY Love her! BB8 and Rey for the win! Also, HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAISY!!!! Thank you for making Rey the kind of person we can all admire and look up to! [sic]’
Although there has been rampant criticism of her role and how it got smaller than what the saga would suggest, she seems to be happily following her film persona with a gusto!
