A Starbucks manager has been fired after an employee under her charge called five police officers a ‘pig’ on their coffee cups.

The issues began after a police officer discovered that a Starbucks employee called him and his colleagues a “pig” by typing the offensive word on their coffee order on Thanksgiving Day.

As Oklahoma-based Chief Johnny O’Mara revealed, he was buying drinks for dispatchers on Thanksgiving Day only for the Starbucks barista to write ‘PIG’ on his coffee cup.

While O’Mara was offered a replacement with the right label on the cup, he couldn’t help but feel offended by the way he was treated and the lack of care from the staff.

“What irks me is the absolute and total disrespect for a police officer who, instead of being home with family and enjoying a meal and a football game, is patrolling his little town,” the police chief wrote in his post after the incident.

“The proverb ‘Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me’ came to mind. This cup of coffee for a ‘pig’ is just another little flag.

“It’s another tiny symptom and a nearly indiscernible shout from a contemptuous, roaring and riotous segment of a misanthropic society that vilifies those who stand for what’s right and glorifies the very people who would usher in the destruction of the social fabric.”

Following the incident, Starbucks has apologized to the officer and claimed they have fired the barista responsible for the mischief.

Now, Starbucks has also fired Lola Price who worked as the manager of the Glenpool branch for nine months.

However, Price maintains her innocence and believes she was wrongfully sacked as she had nothing to do with writing the insult on the coffee cups.

“I was terminated from my position because, Starbucks was looking for someone to take the blame for this and to save some face from their company.  Just still kind of in shock about it all,” the woman, who’d been a branch manager for nine months, said in an interview with ABC Tulsa.

As Price claimed, she attempted to fix the damage done by talking to the police officer in question after the coffee cups were handed to him. However, she didn’t appear to take any action against the barista who disrespected the cop.
