Starbucks Plans To DEACTIVATE Social Media Account Due To Spiteful Comments On Their Posts


Starbucks has recently been receiving hate comments under their posts on Facebook.

In light of the BLM movement and anti-Asian hate movements, Starbucks has been posting in solidarity with victims and those who have been affected by the crimes that have been happening around the world.

Although they post social issues and reiterate their mission and values of work, they are hit with an influx amount of negative and insensitive hate speech due to opposing views.

A Facebook moderator comments that they have had difficulty administrating the page since they are unable to disable the comments on their page.

One user states: “Just stop it and stick to coffee.” Another one also accuses the company of “dancing over graves for political points.”

Starbucks quotes, “We welcome your ideas, feedback, and constructive criticism,” in light of stopping hate comments.

Starbucks spokesperson, Sanja Gould, would not confirm if the company is actually going to remove its official Facebook page. She stands “against hate speech.”

She says that we “believe more can be done to create welcoming and inclusive online communities. We work collaboratively with all companies we do business with to ensure any advertising done on our behalf is in alignment with our brand standards.”
